Privacy Policy

World Genetics is designed to convert raw DNA data into a visual ancestry report while minimizing data collection.

Raw DNA files

Your raw DNA file is processed locally in your browser. World Genetics does not upload, receive, store, sell, or share your raw DNA file on its servers.

During checkout in some in-app browsers, the selected raw DNA file may be temporarily stored in your own browser storage so the report can continue after payment. This storage stays on your device/browser and is cleared after the report is generated or expires after a short period.

Generated results

Your generated G25-style coordinates and recent history may be saved in your browser storage so you can return to previous results. You can clear this by clearing your browser site data.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. World Genetics does not store your full card number. Stripe may collect payment details, billing information, fraud-prevention signals, and transaction records according to Stripe's own privacy practices.

Conversion analytics

We measure visits, traffic sources and completion of report, signup and payment steps to improve the website. A random browser identifier is kept for up to 30 days and can be associated with your account after verified login. This analytics dataset does not include DNA files, coordinates, ancestry results, kit names, email addresses or full referring-page URLs. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track are respected for this first-party collection. Payment totals still come from operational payment records.

Google Analytics

If you allow analytics, Google Analytics measures page visits, traffic sources, device categories, report milestones, plan choices and verified purchases, renewals, cancellations and refunds. We send only those commercial events and a random analytics identifier. We do not send DNA files, coordinates, ancestry results, kit names, email addresses, authentication tokens or full payment details to Google Analytics. Advertising storage and advertising personalization are disabled. Analytics cookies expire after 30 days.

You can decline analytics and still use all report features. You can change your choice below. When signed in, declining also updates the analytics preference used for future subscription events. Existing payment records remain in Stripe.

Technical data

Our hosting provider and payment provider may process standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, device information, timestamps, and security logs. This is used to operate, secure, debug, and improve the website.

Reports and downloads

PDF reports are generated in your browser from the results visible in the app. Downloaded reports are stored wherever you choose to save them.
